Born July 10, 1920 in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Edward and Lillian Mantoen. Lifelong resident of the Eastside and surrounding communities. Fond memories working at West Publishing Company as a young woman, avid reader, letter writer, and poet. Beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Preceded in death by husband, Allen Hubert May, her husband of 55 years, brothers Donald and Harold, sisters Luverne Delperdang and Violet Schaetzel, and son-in-law Richard Hage.
Survived by daughters, Mary Ann Hage, Hudson, WI, Janet (Kenneth) Misgen, Prior Lake, Kathleen (Paul) Korf, Oakdale, Patty (Bob) Banaszewski, Blaine, Dorothy May (Dan Neby, fiance'), Duluth, Donna (Conrad) Sanders, Eagan; son, Joseph (Suzanne), Minnetonka; grandchildren, Pamela (Shawn) Bagley, Barbara Klein, Linda Hage (Ed Paul), Laura Hage, Richard (Erin) Hage, Daniel (Angie) Misgen, Michelle Misgen, Jenna (Rick) Niemi, Dana Korf, Nathan Korf, Leah Korf, Scott (Alejandra) Banaszewski, Michael Banaszewski, Hannah Sanders, Dustin (Rosalind) May, Randall May, Allison May; great-grandchildren, Bryce Bagley, Brendan Bagley, Heather Klein, Allen Hage, Christopher Misgen, Thomas Misgen, Raegan Korf-Wigton, Martina Niemi, Brayden Korf, Nicholas Niemi, Cain Korf, Blake Korf, Layla Radford, Anthony Perez, Aidan Banaszewski, Justin Banaszewski, Sean Miller, Jordan May, and great-granddaughter Hage expected in March; great-great-grandchildren Violet Hage, Joseph Paul. Also survived by sisters Elsie Skoog and Irene Bradfield.
Florence was a gentle soul who will be sadly missed by all, and will forever live on in our hearts. The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to Aspen Medical Clinic for many years of professional and courteous care, as well as to Ecumen (The Seasons at Maplewood) and St. Joseph's Hospital, for their compassionate and loving care.
Service Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10:30AM at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Dr., White Bear, MN 55127. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to National Parkinsons Foundation.
