September 16, 1924 to October 3, 2012
Preceded in death by parents Peter & Alice and brothers Paul & George. Survived by his wife of 59 years Veronica (ViVi); children, Debbie, Pete (Tina) & Matt (Karen); grandsons, Justin & Alex; great-granddaughter Emma Rose; brother-in-law, Vaseli "Woody" Duvlea. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Dan was a life-long member of St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Church where he served as cantor & choir director. He was a long-time Rice St Business Owner working 40 plus years in the family-run department and sporting goods stores. Dan was active in the St. Paul Winter Carnival, serving as Titian IV in 1963. He will be remembered for his patient nature, unwavering support of his family and friendliness to everyone he met.
Visitation Sunday 4-8PM with Prayer Service at 7PM at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive at Hwy 96, White Bear (one mile west of 35E). Funeral Monday 10AM at BRADSHAW and Service at 11AM at SAINT MARY'S ROMANIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH, Woodbridge at Atwater. Interment Oakland Cemetery. Memorials preferred. A special thanks to the staffs at Cerenity Care Center WBL and HealthEast Hospice Care.
