Died March 14 at home following a short battle with lung cancer. Preceded in death by parents, Eva and Andy Roden of Fargo, ND. Survived by wife Susan; daughter Ann (Richard) Ibarra; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Chelsie, Damon, Arien, Eva, and Flint; sister Jennifer (William) Lee of Destin, FL; extended family and friends. Employed by 3M for 34 years as a research chemist in the Magnetic Products Division. John enjoyed woodworking and hunting with his buddies and his dogs. Our heartfelt thanks to family, friends, HealthEast Home Care and HealthEast Hospice Care for their love, care, and support. Memorial service Thursday, March 21st, St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi, at 11:00am with visitation one hour before. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to American Cancer Society, the Nature Conservancy, or donor's choice.
