Bjork, Adeline Marie Hoge Age 91, of St. Paul Died peacefully at home November 21 Born December 4, 1916, in Thief River Falls, raised in Fargo, and graduated from North Dakota State, where she was president of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Upsilon Omicron, and Mortar Board. Met late husband Dr. Alton J. Bjork when both were regional officers in Lutheran Student Association. Graduate studies at Columbia University and University of North Dakota. Married April 18, 1943. Taught art 30 years in Watertown SD, San Antonio, Miami Beach, Grand Forks, and Bloomington, IL. Retired in 1981 and moved with Al to St. Paul to be close to their children. Loving mother, devoted wife, and caring grandmother, she grew through social change while preserving family traditions. Her children will remember their portraits she painted and her love of art, crafts, photography, family history, travel and church. She was an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Survived by daughters Mary and Ruth, sons David (Jeff), Paul (Jean), and John (Geri), grandchildren, Kirsten (Chris), Erin (Matt), Eric, Ellen, Brian, Miela, and Daniel and great-grandchildren, Ashley and Abbigail. Preceded in death by husband Al, parents, brother Arwin (Jean), nephews Philip and Malcolm, and grandson Kevin. Service Wednesday 11 am at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 Snelling Ave S, St. Paul. Visitation Tuesday 5-7 pm at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 678 Snelling Ave S and Wednesday 10-11 at church. Memorials to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
