Agnes Janski

May 30, 1924 — January 13, 2025

Agnes M. Janski (nee Smekofske) of Little Canada, formerly of St. Paul. Agnes was reunited in the Kingdom of Heaven with her husband, Maurice, on January 13, 2025, at the age of 100. Agnes was born May 30, 1924, to Joseph and Caroline (Noe) Smekofske in St. Paul. She was united in marriage to Maurice D. Janski on February 28, 1943, in Colorado Springs, CO. She is survived by her children Sharon (Luther) Nelson, Gloria (Bernie) Schuweiler, Rodney, David (Jody) and Allan, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice, daughter Arline Evans, son Frank, sister Marie Smith and brother Clarence "Smokey" Smekofske. She was a member of St. Bernard's Parish and Altar and Rosary Society. A special thank you to Mary Rinehart for her weekly visits, Dr. James Warren and the staff from Baywood Home Health Care. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Bernard, 187 West Geranium in St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery. At Agnes' request, no flowers please. Memorials or donations preferred.
