Al Larson
Age 73, of Oakdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
Al was raised in St. Paul, MN, and moved to White Bear Lake as a young teenager. Al later met the love of his life, Sue, and they had two children – Allan and Rachel.
Al graduated from White Bear Lake High School and Hamline University. After graduating, he worked in pharmaceutical sales before starting AJ Larson & Associates, an executive recruiting firm in Chicago. Once he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, Al moved with his young family back to M.N., where he received a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology an M.A. in Theology and a Doctorate in of Ministry in Clinical Pastoral Counseling. His business history includes: Founder and president of United Consumer Marketing, a local barter company, General Manager of Gabbert’s Furniture, General Manager of Gourmet Foods, and past President of Twin Cities Youth for Christ, In 1989 Al and his wife founded Dynamics of Growth, a non-profit Christian counseling clinic. Through Dynamics of Growth, he provided corporate training, coaching, and counseling to individuals and families. Later, Al founded Jericho Ventures Inc. and created MindArmor ©, an online program for men struggling with addiction. He was an active member Christian Businessmen's Committee (CBMC) and trainer for Christian Financial Concepts (CFC).
Al's life was devoted to sharing the Gospel and leading others to know the Lord, developing a counseling certification recognized through the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology. This model serves as a unique method of how God designed the human nervous system to Cooperate With God for a Change ©. He co-authored "Escaping the Matrix" and contributed to many other publications.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dave Davis, and brothers, Jerry and Steve Larson. Al will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Sue; children, Allan Larson and Rachel (Jason) Veith; grandchildren, David, Shea, Haden, Zanna, Mitchell, Judah, and Jacob; mother, Helen Davis; sisters, Linda Larson (Steve Prusha) and Patty Larson; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, January 15 at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior at Bradshaw Funeral and Cremation Services, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater. Privat interment at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery, Roseville.
Memorials preferred to Salvation Army.
