Alexis Toney was the youngest of nine kids, born to Lindbergh and Myra Toney.
He entered into life with his twin sister on January 3, 1963 in Chicago, IL.
Alexis accepted Christ at an early age. He believed that he will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Alexis completed his education at Foster Park Grammar School and then went on to
High School at Chicago Vocational Academy in Chicago, IL.
Alexis united in Matrimony to Allie Harrris-Toney on March 29, 1992. In the union there are three children, Roneal, Alex Jr. and Maya Toney.
Alexis (Alex) departed this life on January 10, 2008.
Alex leaves to cherish his parents, Lindberg and Myra Toney; mother-in- law, Jeanette Leverett of Chicago, Il; siblings, Sheila (Paul) Johnson of Minneapolis; Ruth (Frederick) Luckett; Donald Toney, Leonard (Lille Bee) Toney, Alesia (Floyd) Toney-Laurent, of Chicago, Betty Johnson, Charles Toney of Minneapolis; aunts and uncles, Doris Toney, Queen (George) Smith, Betty Bryd of Chicago, James Thomas of Boston, Mass., Johnny Thomas (Dot) of Wintergarden, FL and one great-aunt, Florence Champman of Chicago Heights, IL; sister-in-law, Jennifer Leverett of St. Paul, Enid White, Chicago, IL; brothers-in-law, Christopher Harris, George Leverett Jr, of Chicago and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Alexis (Alex) was a loving son, brother and husband. He had many special talents. He was loved by everybody and he will be missed.
Alex is preceded in death by his special loving sister, Patricia Cornell; grandmother, Geneva Toney; father-in-law, George Leverett Sr. and brother-in-law Victor Harris.
