Alice was true to her home (St. Louis), and even though she moved to Minnesota for a while, she found her way back to St Louis where she met her husband. Alice was known for her outgoing personality and her loving heart and soul. Alice loved her family and friends unconditionally and it showed, especially in the times of others' needs, when Alice would give the shirt off her back to make sure others had what they needed. Alice was also known for her dancing; she would not have a care in the world who was around, when she felt the beat, she was destined to dance the night away, by herself even if no one else wanted to join her.

Her Husband Nathaniel Bates; her Mother Jean Thomas; Father Ronald Gleghorn; sisters, Marla Johnson, Jerniece Johnson, Octavia Durham, and Crystal Graves; and brothers Charlie Johnson, and Makail Salik.
