Alice Wardell

Age 89, of Burnsville, formerly of Highland Park in St. Paul. Born in Kathryn, ND on 9/5/1922 passed away on 9/24/11 at The Rivers surrounded by her family. The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring staff of The Rivers and Allina Hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Bud"; son-in-law, Michael McCauley; a brother and two sisters. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Dee Mattley, M.D.) and Joyce McCauley; son, Roger (Karen) Wardell; grandchildren, Kristin (Jeff) Andrews, Erin (Wes Daniel, Ph.D.), Allen (Amy) Wardell, Charlotte (Christopher) Dieseth; great-grandchildren, Grace and Everett Andrews and Nora Wardell; special friend, Chuck Pottorff; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Service Tuesday, 1 PM at GLORIA DEI LUTHERAN CHURCH, 700 So. Snelling Ave, St. Paul. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation at church one half hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice.
