Born in Forest City, Iowa on October 4, 1930. Graduated from Forest City High School. Served in the US Navy and graduated from Iowa State in Veterinarian Medicine in 1960. He practiced Veterinarian Medicine in Bode, Iowa for 10 years. Retired from US Department of Agriculture in 1990. Preceded in death by parents, brother and sister. Survived by his wife, Arlette of 52 years; sons, John (Becky) and their son, Kaleb, Mark (April) and their children, Anna, Aren, Jacob and Greta, Paul (Katie) and their daughter, Alice; brother, David; sister, Diane Johnson and sister-in-law, Jessie. Funeral service Thursday 11:00AM with visitation 10:00AM at ST. ANDREW'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi. Interment Ft. Snelling national Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Andrew's Lutheran Church.
