Beseth, Allen
Known to friends as "Big Al," passed away peacefully on October 6, 2017, at the age of 89 years. A native of St. Paul, Allen attended the University of Minnesota and Dunwoody where he also taught. He was a lithographic cameraman with Brown & Bigelow for over 30 years. Allen served in the Naval Reserve, served as President of the Kiwanis, was active with Norske Torske Klubben. In his early years he was a ski jumper and member of the St. Paul Ski Club, could fly a plane before he was old enough to drive. Allen and his wife June enjoyed travel, their cabin and being around family and friends. Allen built his house and cabin with his own hands, had endless jokes and articles to share. Preceded in death by parents, Ingwald and Gunda Beseth; and brother, Robert. Survived by his wife of 67 years, June, daughters, Kathleen Stoler, Jeanne Keys (Jarvis), Lynn Beseth-Yon (Dennis), Gail Brown (Christopher) and Kristine Botelho (Michael), 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Gordon; and sister-in-law, Karen Nogle. Funeral service Thursday, October 12, 2017, 12:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard, Stillwater. Visitation Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 5-8 pm and also one hour prior to the service. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, 2250 Saint Anthony Boulevard, Minneapolis.
