Age 100 passed away February 18, 2012.
Alma had her own way of making us all know we held a place of importance to her. We take her generous and loving example of gracious living with us as we say goodbye to her physical being. We embrace her loving memory as we celebrate her spirit.
Preceded in death by daughters Norma LaRoque and Karen Sommers; brothers Milton, Howard, Vernon and Arthur Nelson; her sister Harriet Hart; and many other family and friends. Survived by her daughters Debra Sands of Dana Point, CA, and Kim Sands of Whitefish, MT; her sister Ardis McAfee of Eau Claire, WI; grandchildren Barry LaRoque, Julie LaRoque, Christina LaRoque-Neuman, Peter LaRoque, Kerry LaRoque, William LaRoque, Jeffrey Sommers, Callie Sommers, Eric Petersen; their spouses; and by numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Service Thursday, Feb 23, 11 AM at HOLY TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2730 E 31st St., Mpls. Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, Feb 22, 4-7 PM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge), 3131 Minnehaha Ave. S. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to Mount Olivet Home or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
