Amos (Pooh) Graves Jr. born on November 27, 1950, in Harrison, Mississippi, departed this life on April 15, 2018. The son of Amos Sr. and Nellie Coleman Graves.
Amos lived in Fayette, Mississippi until 1973, where he attended Liddell High School where he graduated in 1972. He accepted Christ at an early age and became a faithful member of Locus Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. L.D. Woodley. Amos began working at an early age for G.C Collins in Memphis Tennessee.
In 1973 he relocated to ST. Paul, Minnesota where he worked for the Children's Hospital, Brown and Bigelow, St. Paul Insurance Company and The Landmark Center where he retired January 2018.
Amos enjoyed watching football, fishing, dancing and hosting barbeques at his home with family. He also loved spending time with his friends at his favorite spot Hunan Gardens. He especially loved being around his grandchildren.
Amos was preceded in death by his father Amos Sr. and his mother Nellie Coleman Graves, wife Carol S. Graves, brothers Claude E. Graves, James Graves Sr., sisters Ruby Lee Graves and Gloria H. Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories, son Andrew and daughter Gwendolen Graves, Brother Max Samuel Graves, sister Lela Mae Graves St. Paul, MN, Lela Ann Shelvy (Robert), Lucille G. Bailey (James), Louise G. Berry (Samuel), Issac Graves (Gloria), Henry Graves (Johnnie Mae), Ray C. Graves, Shurn Graves (Lillie), Dorothy Graves, Micheal Graves, Fayette Mississippi, Susie Bell, William and Charlie Selmon of California, Aunts Cora Jean Sampson, Rita Scott, Patricia Square, Uncles Elijah Coleman Sr., Joe Lee Coleman, Calvin Coleman, Grandchildren Mataya, Shi, Tranny, Emmanuel, Sanyia and Mo`nae Graves, Godchild Bre and a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
