Linderholm, Ann (Creighton)
age 91, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024, surrounded by
family.
Ann was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 10, 1933, to John Creighton and
Mary Catherine Quinn. She was one of 12 children. Ann emigrated to Minnesota at the
age of 18 following her older sister, Mary. Ann worked as a secretary at the Bureau of
Engraving in downtown Minneapolis where she met the love of her life, Jerry
Linderholm. The two were married in 1956 and raised four children in South
Minneapolis.
Ann had beautiful red hair, boundless energy, and celebrated all things Irish - especially
Irish music and dancing. She and Jerry loved going to the Half Time Rec and the
Dubliner Pub in St. Paul to hear traditional Irish music. Ann would join friends and family
in Irish Ceili dancing while Jerry nursed a Guiness and socialized. Together they had a
lot of fun. After retirement, Ann was most happy spending time at her daughter Eileen's
Irish dance school helping teach the "wee ones," including her granddaughters, how to
dance.
Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Linderholm, and siblings:
Mary, James, Eileen, John, Frank, Pat, Margaret, Kathleen, Irene, and Helen. She is
survived by her children: Eileen, Tony, Therese (Mary Beth), and Sean (Denise);
grandchildren: Elaina (Jerome), Karissa (Jake), Seamus, and Connor (Amber);
greatgrandchildren: Jonathan, Abigail, Jackson, Annabelle, Brooke, Breanna, and
Wyatt; sister Angeline; and many loving nieces and nephews in the US and Ireland.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Mount Olivet Careview Home for the
compassionate care they provided to Ann these past 10 years.
