Died February 15, 2005. Artist; avid reader; witty & smart; wonderful wife; mother; grandmother and friend. Ann was born December 21, 1917. She grew up in New York City and Chappaqua, NY, and spent magical summers in DeRuyter, NY. She graduated from Barnard College and the U of MN Library School. During WWII, Ann was a member of the Red Cross in England where she met Donald McCree. They were married in 1945 and enjoyed 59 years together. After earning her Masters in Library Science, Ann worked for the Mpls Public Libraries. Always active and interested, in later years she enjoyed her friendships within the Birthday Club and her book club. Ann in survived by her husband, Donald; son, Donald, Jr. of Minneapolis; daughters, Ann of Missoula, MT, Susan (Steve) of Alameda, CA, and Sally (Mark) Literski of Arden Hills; grandchildren, Sam and Anna Literski, Sam King, and James Mitchell. Special thanks to January, Karen and Susan for their care and concern over the past year. Private interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate her life at EagleCrest, 2945 Lincoln Drive, Roseville on Friday, February 18, from 1:00-3:00 P.M.
