Anne Caton

Anne Louise Caton, age 72, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 8, 2022.

As an administrator for over 30 years at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Forestry and College of Biological Sciences, Anne demonstrated steadfast commitment to providing opportunities for women and minority groups. For her dedication, she was honored with the President’s Award for Outstanding Service. As a descendant of Pierre Bottineau, she, too, enjoyed exploring new places. In her spare time, she was an avid hockey fan, enjoyed dining out, and participated in a bowling league at Midway Bowl. Whether Anne was cheering on one of her Canadian hockey teams, or gathering with friends and family, she was always the life of the party. She will be remembered for her quick wit, love of hockey, and ardently protecting women from exploitation and harassment.

She is welcomed by her parents, Kenneth and Marilyn Boutang; sister, Mary May; and aunts and uncles.

Anne will be deeply missed by her nephew, Brian May; brother-in-law, Tom May; and cousins.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM, on Sunday, March 20, at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear Lake. Family and friends may visit two hours prior. Luncheon will follow the service.
