Anne Schure was born on a farm in Glassville, New Brunswick, Canada, to John and Beatrice Millie. She died peacefully in the sunroom of her townhouse in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, in home hospice.
Anne met her husband Garrett Schure in Presque Isle, Maine, while bowling. They lived in the Chicago area for many years before moving to Minnesota. With Garrett and their family, she traveled the United States and Canada. After his death, she independently traveled the world.
Anne is survived by her son, Garrett Jr.; her daughter, Ellen McElreath and her husband John; grandson, Tim McElreath; granddaughter, Meghan Litke and her husband Trevor; great-grandson, Jasper Litke; sister, Ena Hicks; brother, Ted Millie and his wife Dot; brothers-in-law, Bill Simmonds and Darryl Jardine; sister-in-law, Carol Millie; and many nieces and nephews and generations after that.
She is preceded in death by husband, Garrett; her son, Mark; brother, Irving Millie and his wife Edna; sister, Grace Demmings and her husband John; sister, Gwen Gray and her husband Eugene; brother, Don Millie and his wife Jean; sister, Sheila Simmonds; brother, Larry Millie; sister, Brenda Jardine; and brother-in-law, Harry Hicks.
Interment of her ashes will be at Mount Auburn in Stickney, Illinois, around her birthday in October.
