Anthony Victor Roland Paladie, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and brother in arms, died on November 1, 2021. He was serving in the United States Air Force, as an EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) Apprentice and was stationed at Spangdahlem Air Force Base near Trier, Germany. A graduate of St. Charles High School and Hamline University, Tony was a generous, talented, strong, creative soul. A multi-faceted young man, he was an accomplished artist and potter and a dedicated athlete who thought nothing of running a marathon in a blizzard. His selfless nature extended beyond his care of his family and friends to include concern for the health of the planet. As such, he was working his way through a master’s degree in environmental protection management.
His absence will be deeply felt by those who survive him: his parents, Paul and Nichole; sister, Ashley; grandparents, Bob & Diane Hall, Clyde & Sue Johnson, Steve Paladie & Pam Scheibel; aunts and uncles, Brandon & Tracy Johnson, Steve & Ann Paladie, Elizabeth Strickler, Eric & Rita Hall, Albert & Kim DeVries; many cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by: great grandparents, Stephen & Helen Paladie, Leonard & Evelyn Luta, Ben & June Rosenbush, Laird & Iola Johnson, aunts, uncles, and cousin Paul Kuhlman Jr.
Anthony was a strong believer in helping others and he gave his time, energy, and his utmost passion to support his charity of choice, the EOD Warrior Foundation (EODWF). The organization stands for everything our Tony was in life and carries on his beliefs with the equivalent energy and drive he radiated in helping his fellow teammates.
