Passed away on May 16, 2004. Harland was born in Minneapolis, MN to Verna (Johnson) Anderson and Anton H. Anderson on March 25, 1926. Some time later they moved to Stillwater (area) and then to Centuria, WI and then back to the Stillwater area. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1944 and immediately entered the Navy. He served aboard the battleship U.S.S. New Mexico in the Pacific Theater and was discharged in 1946. He worked at various mechanic jobs before starting at Andersen Corporation in February of 1950 where he was employed over 35 years retiring in 1985. For the last 19 years he supervised in the Cutting Dept. He is preceded in death by wife, Beverly. He is survived by daughters, Janice (Mickey) Stickan, Cynthia (Mark) Simpson and son, Gary (Cyndy) Anderson along with 2 granddaughters, 2 grandsons and 1 great-grandson. Memorial service Thursday 10:00AM at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 115 N. Fourth St., Stillwater. Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association or to Trinity Lutheran Church.
