Archie Anderson

Archie M. Anderson was born May 5, 1926, in Rushford, Minnesota to Sam and Julia Sauro Anderson. Archie attended public schools in Rushford. Following high school, Archie moved to California. On March 6, 1948, he and Helen Hougher were married in Las Vegas, Nevada. Following their marriage, they moved back to Minnesota, finally settling in the Twin Cities Area. In Minnesota, Archie worked in the concrete business as a truck driver. He was a member of Teamsters' Local #221 and Eagles Aerie #34, located in Minneapolis. He passed away on May 4, 2004 at the Minnesota Masonic Home, at the age of 77 years, with his family present. Services are Saturday, May 8, 2004 at MINNEHAHA COMMUNION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4101 37th Ave S, Minneapolis, with the Reverend Harry Mueller officiating. Organist is Jeonglim Kim and soloist is Bobbie Kuhlman. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation Friday, May 7, 5-8 pm at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge), 3131 Minnehaha Avenue South, Mpls. Archie was preceded in death by son, Dennis and brother, Gynther. Survived by loving wife, Helen; children, Kathie L. Anderson, Doug (Teresa), Ron (Barb), Bob (Sherry), Marian (Tim) Stolberg, Dick (Vickie) and Jeff; daughter-in-law, Karen Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Kinneberg and Mildred Buross; sister-in-law, Gerry Anderson and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
