Age 87, of Lake Elmo
Passed away peacefully June 17, 2017 at Lakeview Hospital. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Isabel Stahlberg and brother, John Stahlberg. She will be sadly missed by husband of 57 years, Bruce; niece, Julie Beutel; nephews, Dan (Kathy), Douglas, David (Toots), Donald (Mary) and Dale (Dory) Beutel; sister-in-law, Joan Beutel. Arline graduated Co-Valedictorian from Missoula County High School in Missoula, Montana and was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated from the Minneapolis College of Music and was a longtime piano teacher. Arline was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lake Elmo where she was the Music Director for 35 years. She worked at Lake Elmo Bank for 25 years and was a longtime volunteer with the Red Cross. She was an avid golfer, speed walker and loved to cross country ski. She was also very active in A.A. Arline was on the Board of Directors for 20 years and was Board Chair for 7 of those years at Canvas Health (formerly HSI). Additionally, she served as Board Secretary later on for 4 years. She was also the Founder of and Committee Chair of the Canvas Health Golf Classic for 17 years. She was President of the Women's Golf at Stillwater Country Club in 1985 and was the first female board member at Stillwater Country Club in 1995. Arline was a longtime season ticket holder for the Minnesota Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Ordway, Guthrie and Phipps Theaters as well as the Minnesota Vikings. Memorial service Friday, June 23, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 11194 - 36th Street North, Lake Elmo. Interment Christ Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, June 22, 2017, 4:00-7:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard and also one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Christ Lutheran Church or Canvas Health.
