Arne Hoverstad

Arne Selmer Hoverstad, 86, of New Richmond Wisconsin passed away on October 9th, after a long battle with cancer.

Born on January 18, 1938 in Faribault, Minnesota, Arne grew up on the family’s dairy farm near Dennison, Minnesota. He graduated from Kenyon High School and attended college to study finance. Following college, Arne joined the Navy where he was stationed at the Minneapolis Airport.

Arne was married to his first wife Suzi and was blessed with three children, Tad, Tim, and Tanya (Randy). From that marriage Arne was blessed with 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. 

In the year 2000, Arne married his current wife Judy, he was blessed with an additional daughter, Tami (Rich); and their 6 children and 14 grandchildren.

Arne’s love in life was his wife Judy, his dog Brody, traveling for over 10 years in their motorhome, dancing and watching his favorite sports.

Arne was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Marian; his siblings Mary, Carolyn, Bernice, Norval, and Herbert, grandson Ty and step-granddaughter Charlotte.

Services will be held on Wednesday morning October 16 at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Stillwater, MN followed by a burial at Ft. Snelling in St. Paul, MN. All information regarding details can be found on the Bradshaw Funeral Home website.
