Arnold "Arnie" Dahlin

Age 88, of Marine of St. Croix, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024 with family by his side. 

Arnie served in the Naval Reserves from 1953-1990. He was a proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Union #10 and retired after over 50 years of employment with Dayton’s Bluff Sheet Metal and Gilbert Mechanical. Arnie was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time at his hunting property “The Ponderosa”, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and snowmobiling. He also had a great love of music. Arnie built his dream house on Big Marine Lake and enjoyed spending time entertaining family and friends at the lake. 

Arnie is preceded in death by wife, Carol; son, John Dahlin; great-granddaughter, Emma Smrekar; siblings, Roger and Mary; and parents, Arnold and Josephine. 

He is survived by children, Cindy (Tom) Rice, David, Steve; grandchildren, Carolyn (Ryan), Joshua, Tom (Sarah), Lindsey (Scott); 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Peter and Dennis; many other relatives and friends. 

A Celebration of Arnie's Life will be held at 11am on Friday, June 28th at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd., Stillwater, with visitation beginning one hour prior. Interment Elim Cemetery, Scandia.
