Arthur Dale Van Duren
March 31, 1919 - December 30, 2010
Died after a short illness. Preceded in death by his wife, Bernice (2002). He will be missed especially by his daughters and their families: January and Herb Japs, Judy and David Stone, his four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Dale's working life was spent primarily at Northwest Airlines as a maintenance mechanic. He loved music and was blessed with an extraordinary baritone voice. Upon retirement, his lifelong love of horses emerged as he took up English horseback riding. He also enjoyed drawing and painting, with horses being his favorite subject. He was a builder, fixer, creator and inventor. Dale's last year and a half were spent basking in the loving care of his friends at the Woodbury Health Care Center, Private family services will be held with interment at Rutherford Cemetery in Stillwater.
