Ashly Meister

Ashly Oleson Meister, 32, of Stillwater, MN passed away Tuesday December 29, 2020. She was born January 17, 1988.

Ashly is survived by Mother Susie (Hogberg) Oleson, Father Mark Oleson, Brother Travis (Caitlin) Oleson, Grandmother Donna Hogberg and Grandmother Marlene Oleson.

She is preceded by Grandfather Jack Hogberg and Grandfather Ken Oleson.

Ashly’s heart was as vast as the oceans she once loved to sit by, where she’d contently look out upon the calming waves before her. She loved people, and cared for them so deeply that she would take your pain and hold it as her own to lighten your burdens. She loved animals too, having pulled over to rescue turtles on the road (on multiple occasions), and of course, a fresh cup of coffee with a good book. Although Ashly did not have children of her own, she acted as a bonus mother to so many fortunate children, and was so excitedly awaiting soon becoming an Aunt. She had a way of calming anyone, children and adults alike, with her beautifully genuine smile that reached her stunning blue eyes, her hearty laughs, and hugs that always lasted just a few seconds longer than most. Her unwavering love, care, kindness, and appreciation for all things survives her; The heartwarming memories shared with Ashly will always be held in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have met her, and retold to those who could not.

A celebration of Ashly's life will be held on Thursday, July 8th from 4:00 PM to 7:00PM at the Bayport Lakeside Park, 95 Central Avenue. There will be a time of sharing at 5:00PM with a meal following.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials to Hazelden or the Humane Society in memory of Ashly are preferred.
