Audrey Jane Jensen

Age 85, of Stillwater, formerly of White Bear Lake

Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on February 16, 2020.  Preceded in death by husband, Sherwood “Woody”; parents, Maurice and Irene Onsgard; sisters, Carole Simonet and Brenda Trehus.  She will be sadly missed by children, Vanesa (Bill) Soukup and Craig (Tammy); grandchildren, Billy (Nikola) Wigstrom, Stefanie (Andrew) Kruse, Stacia (Nino) Zezza, Kristine (Luke) Schwartz and Katie Jensen; great-grandchildren, Sofia, Billy, Kennedy, Landon, Harrison, Braxton, Gianna, Arianna, Nino, Evelyn and Luca; siblings, Joycelyn Johnson, Iyla Mulvenna, Tom and Eric Trehus; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Born and raised in Spring Grove, MN, Audrey was the second child of Maurice and Irene Onsgard (Trehus) out of 7 brothers and sisters. Audrey was a socialite, who loved mingling with friends, was always composed with utmost class, and had a gift for both song and dance. Working as a dance instructor, she met her soon to be husband Sherwood, and later worked for the airline, Northwest Orient. She and Sherwood were married in 1956 and raised two children; Vanesa and Craig. In her later years, Audrey’s love for travel brought her to open her first travel agency in 1981. It was established in the basement of a bank under the name: Ask Mr. Foster. Over the next 20 years she grew the business into 14 Carlson Wagonlit Travel Agencies. Most importantly, Audrey treasured her family and her passion for spending time with her loved ones and friends. Her heart of gold, graciousness & compassion for others will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Audrey’s life will be Thursday, February 27, 2020, 12:00 P.M. at ST. ANDREW’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Private interment Lakeview Cemetery.
