Austin Wallis, age 34 of Dellwood, died unexpectedly on July 12, 2021. He is survived by parents, Kathy and Jerry; brother, Ainsley; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Austin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joanne and Adolph Johnson, and James and Jeanne Wallis. Though he spent nearly half his life living with mental illness, Austin was a bright and loving child. He had a brilliant mind: Inquisitive, well-read, artistic and musical. Austin’s connection with the universe led him to view life with a unique perception. He enjoyed summers in Grand Marais and time spent on his skateboard. His seeker’s spirit led him to explore many aspects of spirituality; he found particular comfort in the tenets of Buddhism. It makes perfect sense, then, that Austin was generous to a fault, always giving what he had to others. A memorial service to celebrate Austin’s life will be at 6:00pm Sunday, July 18 at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater. Those who have not been vaccinated are kindly asked to wear masks. Memorials preferred to National Association for Mental Illness (NAMI).
