Barbara Rooney

Barbara Jo (Eha) Rooney, 61, passed away on August 19, 2018 at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on September 4, 1956 in St. Paul, MN, to Robert and JoAnn (Romans) Eha, Barb attended St. Paul schools and graduated in 1974. After graduation, Barb continued to live in the St. Paul area and later moved to White Bear Lake, MN where she spent the rest of her life. Barb spent her career in hospital staffing for many facilities before ending her career at St. Joseph's hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Barb's favorite place in the world was Gull Lake, MN where she spent time throughout her childhood and adult life. She enjoyed spending time with her children, Jesse and Derek, and her grandchildren, every chance she had. She had many strong friendships that she enjoyed many laughs, dinners, and events with. She was thoughtful in everything she did and had a gift for finding the good in every moment. Throughout the last year, she was able to make many memories with trips to Gull Lake, Duluth, Florida, and Arizona.

Barb is survived by her parents, Robert and JoAnn Eha; two sons, Jesse (Sara) Rooney and Derek (Jamie) Rooney; six grandchildren, Elissa Rooney, Christian Cedarbloom, Easton Rooney, Ryland Rooney, Brooke Rooney and Camden Rooney; nieces, Shannon (Steve) Johnson, Tina (Paul) Jewett, Ada Eha, Courtney (Emiliano) Morales; nephews, Jim (Vickie) Eha, Brett (Buffie) Eha, David Eha; two brothers, Rick (Nancy) Eha and Doug (Kim) Eha; and many close friends.

Service Tuesday, August 28, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear. Visitation 2 hours prior to the service.
