Age 87 of Mounds View, Minnesota passed away peacefully on June 06, 2024.
Preceded in death by Husband Jacob Santine. Survived by daughter Shelley
Santine, Son-In-Law Scott Radke, Sisters MaryLee Maruk and Geri Decheine,
brother Bill Maruk and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Born and raised
in International Falls, MN, Barbara married Jacob and they moved to the St. Paul
area eventually settling in Mounds View, MN.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered as a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend
and for her passionate love of Vikings Football, Hawaii, MVPD K9 Unit and
animals.
She had a long career in Personnel at Montgomery Wards and later worked at
Columbia Heights Schools. In retirement she knitted mittens for school children,
prayer shawls for elderly, supported the MVPD K9 Unit and advocated for every
animal cause she came across. Barbara never missed watching a Viking Game
and was the queen of sending cards to her loved ones, rarely missing an
occasion to send you a note.
Our grateful thanks to all our friends and family for your support and to all those
who helped with her care - Intrepid Hospice Team, Neighbors, Encore and the
MVPD. We will cherish each precious memory we have of her and will miss her
dearly.
