Barbara Stauning

Stauning, Barbara Jean Age 70 Of St. Paul. She died November 20, 2008 at the family business working with the family she loved and who loved her. Barbara graduated Lincoln H.S. 1956, Luther Jr. College, Wahoo Neb. 1958. Majored in teaching U of M. Taught grade school Fremont Neb. and Preschool U of M Cooperative. Worked at Information Management System which she co-founded 1981 with husband Richard and sons Bryan, Brett and Barry. Barbara and Richard became acquainted at First Lutheran church Lincoln and fell in lasting love while attending Luther Jr. College, were married in Lincoln Neb. while attending the University of Neb. and moved to Twin Cites where sons were born and raised and family business was started. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and John Schwindt. Survived by husband Richard; sons Bryan, Brett, Barry; daughters-in-law Maria and Lizz; grandchildren Devin, Tony, Emily, Tess, Pria and Samuel; and brother Robb Schwindt. All who survive felt her love: each in a unique and special way. Her purpose in life was to love her family and let each one know they were special. Barbara, no one has done better. We have lost a great teacher and example but her spirit will be with us always. Funeral service 2:00 PM Saturday, November 29th at ST. PAUL REFORMATION LUTHERAN CHURCH - 100 Oxford St N St Paul.
