Beatrice Norell Jackle, of Stillwater, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Sept 17, 2017.
Born June 12, 1931 in Midlothian, IL, Bea enjoyed family, faith and friends. She loved the outdoors: golfing, skiing and biking. She was an avid reader.
When she was young Bea moved from Illinois to Minneapolis with her family. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1949. She was a member of the Tip Toppers Club of Minneapolis and was named MN Queen of Height in 1955. She married Donald Norell in 1956 and they lived in Columbia Heights. They had 4 children and moved to the St. Croix Valley in 1968.
Bea was a homemaker for many years. She also worked part-time as the St. Joseph Township clerk. In 1975 her and Don ventured into the bar business and bought the Willow River Inn in Burkhardt, WI. She also spent time working at Preswick Golf Club in Woodbury, the Washington County Highway Department and then eventually retired from Power/Mation.
Bea married Harold Jackle in 2000 and lived at Sunnyside Condominiums in Stillwater. They enjoyed traveling and biking together and spent many hours at the condominium pool.
Bea was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church since moving to the St. Croix Valley and over the years enjoyed teaching Sunday School, singing in the church choir and attending Bible study groups.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Vera Jorgensen and brother, Roger.
Bea is survived by her husband, Harold, son, Joseph (Joanne) Norell, daughters, Donna Norell and Toni (Thomas) Klatt; and son, Neil (Laurie) Norell; their father, Donald Norell, seven grandchildren: Philip Norell, Brian (Jessica) Hauck, Kyle (Missy) Hauck, Theresa (Derek) Schuknecht, Kavya Norell, Stephen (Cassie) Miller and Emily Miller and eight great-grandchildren: Madelyn Finn, Cherokee Norell, Lillian Hauck, Finley Hauck, Cole Schuknecht, Everley Hauck, Daxton Miller and Beau Miller; sister-in-law Corina Jorgensen and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation from 4-7 pm Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center in Stillwater. Service at 11 am Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Stillwater with visitation one hour prior to service.. Memorials preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church Library and Music.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Oak Park Senior Living facility for their continued care & support these past 2 A½ years and to Brighton Home Health & Hospice for their support in her final days.
