Born January 9, 1915 in Sebeka, MN, died June 29, 2014 in Stillwater. Preceded in death by parents John and Margaret (Jensen); husband, Martin; siblings, Gerald, Joyce (Harold) Soderstrom, Lyle, and Clifford; sister-in-law Jan (Gerald) and brother-in-law Harold. Survived by daughters, Zona Lindemann and Rita (Bill) Lawson; grandchildren, Robin and Martin; sisters-in-law, Doris (Lyle) and Doris (Clifford) and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A University of Minnesota grad, Bernice was an elementary school teacher in St. Paul for 30 years, avid bird watcher, a Camp Fire Girls leader and cook at Camps Ojiketa and Cheewin, exchange teacher in Australia, and extensive traveler. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11 AM at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 115 Fourth St. N., Stillwater, MN with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials preferred to Ojiketa Preservation Society or Good Samaritan Society-Stillwater.
