Age 90, of South Mpls, died Dec. 9th after a courageous battle with diabetes. Survived by sons, Allen (Daryla) Carlson and Paul. Last surviving child of Emma. Preceded in death by parents, 1 brother and 4 sisters. Bettie was a 33 yr employee at Western Electric, and a 15 yr weekend maid at Kahler Inn Town, Best Western, and the Mpls Athletic Club. While she was not a high school graduate (she quit to support her mother), she was an avid reader, loved big bands, fishing and movies. A special mention to her great friends, Dawn and Kiflom... thanks for everything. Bettie will be cremated, no service following. Remember her as she was: Feisty & Independent.
