Hodge, Betty Jane
Age 88, of Mpls., passed away September 13, 2013. Preceded in death by husband, Howard; parents, Harry & Lily Schurstein; brothers, Richard and Stanley; sister, Sally; half brother, Jerome as well as three beloved pet dogs, Shangle, Abe and Jasper. As a long time active member at Bethany Lutheran Church she was proud of her role serving as President of the Church Women. Outside of church she loved gardening, baking and being around family and friends. She is survived by four children, Betty Ellen Stennes (Roger), Bruce Hodge (Jean), Diane Hodge and Charles Hodge (Patty); twelve grandchildren: William, Robert, Krissy, Tracy, Virginia, James, Patricia, Sean, Michael, Matthew, Karen and Kyle; 15 great grandchildren (soon to be 16); many other relatives and friends. Service Thursday 11:00AM at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2511 E. Franklin Ave., Mpls. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4-8PM with prayer service 8PM at BRADSHAW (McDivitt-Hauge) 3131 Minnehaha Ave So. Mpls., and one hour prior to the service at the church.
