Betty Weiand

Weiand, Betty M., age 87, formerly of White Bear Township. Betty was born April 12, 1927 in St. Paul, MN and passed away September 25, 2014 in Mahtomedi, MN. She was preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Agnes Brustman and by Gene, her loving husband of 67 years. Betty is survived by daughter, Jeanne (Bruce) Johnson; grandchildren, Darin (Stephanie) Johnson and Bradley (Katie) Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Alex, Ben, Gavin, Cameron and Emery. She grew up on St. Paul's East Side and attended St. John's Lutheran School, Cleveland Junior High and Johnson Senior High. Betty was a longtime member of the Eastern Star and will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her feisty disposition, and her unending devotion to her beloved husband, Gene. The family extends its gratitude to the dedicated caregivers of the Lighthouse Memory Care Center of Mahtomedi and Saint Croix Hospice. The love and encouragement shown Betty while in their care was a great comfort to Betty's family. A 4:00 PM memorial service will be held Sunday, October 5th at the Bradshaw Funeral Home, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, MN 55082. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service with reception to follow.
