Bradley Owen Reiners, 72, died peacefully at home in Shoreview, MN on Friday, March 10, 2023 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Brad was born January 14, 1951 in Montevideo, MN to Donald and Muriel Reiners and grew up on the family farm near Clara City, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. He graduated from Clara City High School in 1969, graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD in 1973, and earned a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, MN in 1977. That same year he married Agatha Elizabeth (Goettl) Reiners, the love of his life, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City.
Brad ran a private law practice in Clara City and worked with his dad on the family farm from 1977 to 1987. He then devoted himself to professional fundraising, working for colleges and nonprofits for over 30 years. His special focus was on stewardship through planned giving- a concept that was deeply rooted in his Lutheran faith.
Brad enjoyed contributing to many church, community, and professional organizations. He loved spending time with family and friends and was a voracious reader of history, theology, politics, and current events.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Muriel and by his nephew, Christopher Lange. His spirit lives on in his wife, Aggie; sons Aaron (Annie) Olson-Reiners and Matthew ( Alexandra) Reiners; granddaughter Carmen Olson-Reiners; sister Karla (Richard) Lange; niece Beth (Kelly) Lange; and countless others whose lives he touched.
A celebration of Brad's life will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center in Stillwater, MN. Interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Clara City, MN.
Memorial gifts are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clara City, MN or Twin Cities Public Television, St. Paul, MN.
