Survived by Olga, his beloved wife of 61 years (3 days short of their 62nd wedding anniversary), children James (Mary), Tad (Jeannie), Colleen Kosen (Dean), Heather (Bill Kampfer); grandchildren Michael, Katelyn, Dylan, Sam, Charlie, and Ben. Cal completed life's journey in St. Paul, MN on 2/27/2012. Cal lived a full and glorious life. He leaves behind a trail of beautiful memories. A very special man with a spark and zest for life. Cal was kind-hearted, hard working, and generous. He was born in Butler, PA on March 7, 1926. Cal was drafted by the Army during World War II at the age of 18. He served in the 922nd Field Artillery Battalion of the 97th Infantry. He served in Europe under General Patton, and the South Pacific under General Haulsey. Cal married Olga on March 1st, 1950. They honeymooned in Key West FL and Cuba. Cal worked for Portec, Inc. for 33 years; a job he really loved. We know this because of all the great stories, and the fun he had with his co-workers. Cal traveled the world through the war, work, and his retirement. He loved his home and retirement in Florida. Service Saturday 1PM at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 11194 36TH St. N., Lake Elmo. Interment at Christ Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-7PM at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd (NW corner of Hwy 36 and Co Rd 5) and 1 hour prior to service at Church. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association and Alzheimer's Association.
