Carl Herrmann Jr.

Born to German immigrants, Carl Sr and Mary (Boedigheimer) Herrmann, Carl had two older sisters, Carlene and Florence. The family farmed in Perham, MN and operated a summer resort on Big Pine Lake in Otter Tail County.

After high school Carl served in the US Army, returning home to help his father with the farm and resort before becoming a long term resident at the Minneapolis Veteran's Home.   Carl’s sisters married and moved to St. Paul and Alaska.

Carl had a good sense of humor and loved to tell stories of his youth.  He will be missed by friends and family as well as the caring staff at the Minneapolis Veteran’s Home who knew him well.
