Born January 14, 1923 and died suddenly on January 13, 2006. Preceded in death by sister, Marilyn Davis. Survived by wife of 56 years, Lillian; children, Penny (Bob) Howard, Steve (Janine Copple), Brad (Sachiko) and Laurie (Mark) Windisch; grandchildren, Antony, Maggie, Sarah, Duncan, Danny and Julian; brother, Bob; cousin, Carol Thompson Hemmingway. Carl graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas and college from KU. He joined the US Army during WWII and served in the Philippians and occupied Japan. He was drafted into the Korean War and served in Fort Carson, Colorado. Carl worked 28 years as a US Food and Drug Inspector in Denver, Detroit and Omaha. After retirement Carl and Lillian traveled the world and settled in Mahtomedi in 2003. Memorial Service Wednesday 11:00AM at ST ANDREW?S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi, MN. Gathering one hour prior to service at the church.
