Carl Sletten

Passed away at his home on August 3rd surrounded by family and pets. A long time resident of Stillwater, Carl had recently retired to Lutz, FL.
Carl was born in St. Paul, MN and graduated from White Bear High School. He worked as a meatcutter his entire life. Carl was a phenomenal drummer. He marched in drum and bugle corps and also played professionally. He later taught drums in a local Jr. drum corps.
More recently Carl's passion became showing persian cats. He had many national winners and enjoyed traveling the country showing off his cats.
Carl had a big personality and a big heart. Everyone who was with him left feeling better about life and better about themselves. He helped many to live one day at a time and not to take things too seriously.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother.
Survived by wife, Linda; daughters Julie (Todd) Dilts, Susan (Richard) Loman; Linda Wikoff (Tim Schmidt); son Tory. 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center in Stillwater on August 18 from 2-5.
