Age 77, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2019.

Born in Elk River, MN on December 23, 1941, Carol lived most of her life in ‘Good Ol’’ Nordeast Minneapolis. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a hard-working and dedicated single parent, often holding two or more jobs to support her family. Her zest for life, sense of humor and stunning blue eyes could fill a room. She had a genuine love and interest in her family and friends’ lives and was always there for them with a listening ear, caring heart and several hundred questions. The unbreakable bond and love between her and her sisters will always be revered.

Preceded in death by parents Charles and Ermine Peterson, grandson Jonathan Olson, siblings Charles Peterson, Raymond Paterson, Roy Peterson, Adelaide “Toots” Nelson and John Peterson.

Survived by children Robert Allen Balck (Connie), William Carl Balck (Robin), Bonnie Kaye Versboncoeur (Joseph) and Kelli Marie Balck (Adrian Ellis), grandchildren William Frisco (Kellie Laughlin), James Hauser (Kyra Newburg), Jessica (Justin) Eylandt, Ashley (Jordan) Hairr, Tyler Versboncoeur and Nicholas Balck, great-grandchildren Caden and Everly Eylandt, Audrey and Carter Hairr, siblings Frank “Pete” Peterson, Elizabeth “Dolly” Westerlund, Eleanor Foss and Margaret Tautges, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 th at North Heights Lutheran
Church, 1700 Hwy 96 W, Arden Hills, MN 55112
Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Private interment at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Princeton, MN.
