Carol Bonham

Carol Ann Bonham, 74, of Lake Elmo, MN, passed away on July 5, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 27, 1940, in Pekin, IL, to Clyde and Carrie Bledsoe. She graduated from Pekin High School in 1958 and married James Bonham in 1960 and moved to Minnesota in 1966. She was a licensed beautician.
She is survived by her husband; children, Jill Marie Costa of Kenosha, WI; Daniel Scott (Sherri) of Fargo, ND; and Michael James (Stephanie) of Denver, CO; grandchildren Garrett, Kyle, Ethan, Clare, and Tyler: sisters, Ruth Morris of Tremont, IL and Norma Bouchez of Kingston Mines, IL.
She is preceded in death by infant daughter, Jennifer Ann; her parents, sister Fern Jones, and brother Dale Bledsoe.
Carol exhibited great love, faith, kindness, humility, and a quiet witness. She lived each day experiencing all of life's wonders and challenges using the strength she found in her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Regardless of circumstances, she had a happy and grateful spirit. She was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She loved reading, Bible study, her flower gardens, cooking, quilting, traveling, and attending her children's activities. She was an active member of Rockpoint Church of Lake Elmo (formerly Lakewood Church, White Bear Lake) for 41 years, serving as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, kitchen worker, youth worker, and choir member. Jim and Carol enjoyed their winters on Palm Island in Englewood, FL.
Visitation Thurs. July 10, 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd (NW corner of Hwy36 and Co. Rd 5) Stillwater. Memorial service Fri. July 11, 11:00 A.M. at ROCKPOINT CHURCH, 5825 Kelvin Ave No. Lake Elmo, with a gathering one hour before. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to a children's home in Nairobi, Kenya, The Brydges Center, 1 Oakhill Court, White Bear Lake, MN 55110.
