Carol Anton Christiansen was born to Carl & Mary (Nielsen) Christiansen on October 13, 1934 on a farm near Oberon, North Dakota. He graduated from Oberon High School in 1952. He worked for 40 years for the Soo Line Railroad as a depot agent, relief train dispatcher and program supervisor and computer instructor until he retired in 1992.
He married Faye Myrtle Adam on September 4, 1960. They resided in Drake ND and had four children. They have eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He loved his family and often commented on how blessed he was.
He served from 1958 - 1960 in the Signal Corp of the Army in Germany.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Enderlin, ND, Gideons International, Enderlin Lion's Club, and First Evangelical Free Church in Maplewood, MN.
He loved the ministry of the Gideon's International and seeing the Word of God being placed into the hands of people around the world. He spoke in many churches, preaching and sharing testimonies of peoples' lives being changed through receiving these Scriptures.
Other interests he had included woodworking, computers, singing (loudly), reading, and having morning coffee with his buddies at the cafe. He maintained his sense of humor until the end. In his thirties, he raised rabbits and rode his horse Blaze in horse shows and won many ribbons. He liked the sack race the best. He and Faye went on adventures around the world, visiting Trish in Taiwan and Guinea and Nettie in China, seeing Alaska and Hawaii, and going on a mission trip to Colombia.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary & Carl; his sister, Mabel Bohn; brother-in-law, Doug Bohn; and his niece, Leslie Lindquist.
