Carol Mears

Carol Lee Mears, age 63, was reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, Norman C and Eleanor Mears on January 24, 2023. Carol left us entirely too soon after suffering a cardiac episode while vacationing in Florida. Although she grew older, Carol never grew up. She was compassionate, funny, mischievous, adventurous, and had the biggest heart.  She loved being in nature, especially the north woods of MN and the beaches of FL. She loved animals, and her pets (and caring for the others’ fur-babies) meant the world to her. Our hearts are broken, but we take comfort in knowing that she spent her last days having the time of her life in the Florida sun and that her many pets ran to greet her at the rainbow bridge. Her enthusiasm and playful spirit live on in our hearts. Her warm smile and big “Hellooo” are treasured memories. Carol was preceded in death by sister in law Cathy Mears. She leaves behind four older brothers: Steve, Norm (Robin), Don (Naomi), Bruce (Lynn) and 13 cherished nieces and nephews, who affectionately referred to her as “Anut” Carol. If she was with us today she would say “keep dancing people, and let your light shine”, as will hers in heaven forever more. Please join us to celebrate her life at Bradshaw Funeral Home, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd in Stillwater on Sunday March 26 from 2:00 to 4:00. Dress colorfully and casually for Carol would have wanted it that way. Bring your memories/stories to share. A short service will be held at 3:00 PM. Memorials to American Heart Association or Cocos Heart Dog Rescue.
