Carol Nyenhuis

Carol Ann (Briese) Nyenhuis, age 81 of Stillwater, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jack; children, David (Jacque) Nyenhuis, David (Kristen) Nesburg, Michael Nyenhuis, Paul (Kathi) Nesburg, Kevin (Jody) Nyenhuis, Kristine (Tom) Sherek; 18 grandchildren;  11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Margaret; first husband, Kenneth Nesburg; daughter-in-law, Sandy Nyenhuis; grandson, Jacob Nyenhuis.

Throughout her busy lifetime of raising six children, cooking and baking, loving all animals (especially dogs) and spending time on the boat on the St. Croix River, Carol was, above all, KIND. Complimentary of those around her and generous with her hugs, Carol made everyone around her feel better. That trait of kindness made her a gracious hostess and welcoming receptionist at Trinity Lutheran Church. It gave warmth to the days of her caregivers at Woodland Hills and Boutwells Landing. In her years living with Alzheimer’s, her kindness continued to shine through, even as her memory faded. The presence of her love and kindness will continue to be felt by her family and those whom she loved.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held 11am Friday, March 4 at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to Alzheimer’s Association.
