Carol Smith

Carol Joanne Meyer Smith, died April 15, 2017, is now in Heaven reunited with her high school sweetheart and husband, Wayne. Carol was born May 18, 1934 in New Ulm, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne, her parents, two brothers and four sisters. Carol is survived by her daughters, Jean (Tom) Herrmann, Pat (Dick Tucker) Smith, Karen (Mark) Gieseke; grandchildren, Tara (Jei Andujar) Herrmann, Todd (Nikki) Herrmann, Tessa Herrmann, Tommi (David) Dearing, Jenna (Josh) Goldberg, Benjamin (Elizabeth) Gieseke; great-granddaughter, Adeline Dearing; several nieces and nephews. Carol enjoyed being a dairy farmer's wife. She liked to garden, sew, do needlework and read. She was glad she learned how to use a computer. She was a 4-H leader for 14 years and also active with the girls' school activities. She enjoyed her church activities, both at Trinity and at All Saints in Norwood Young America, and being a part of the Boutwells community. Memorials requested for the MS Society, Trinity Lutheran Scholarship Fund, All Saints' children's Bible fund, Luther Seminary, Lakeview Hospice or donor's choice.
