Smith, Catharine Jane Templeton
Catharine Jane Smith, an elegant, compassionate and beautiful woman, passed into God's arms on June 1, 2012. She was preceded by her parents, Paul C and Effie I Templeton, and her husband, Dale C. Smith. She will be greatly missed by her family who adored her: daughter, Linda Moore (Charles), grandchildren: Jennifer Miles (Todd), John Miles (Jodi), Marguerite Pohlig, Deborah Manning (David), Charlotte Holloway, Kathleen Anderson, John Moore (Kelli), numerous great grandchildren, and French exchange daughter Marguerite Dupret and family members. She was a faithful and active Disciple of Christ for over 70 years at First Christian Church in Des Moines, IA. She was a graduate of Drake University's Business Program. The organizations she led and gave her heart to are: PEO, American Home Club, Questors, Iowa Lady Bankers and Garden Club. Her Memorial service will be held 4 P.M. Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at BRADSHAW CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTER, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5), Stillwater. Donations in celebration of her life may be given to: PEO general fund, First Christian Church of Des Moines, IA, First Christian Church Mahtomedi, MN or Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation.
