Catherine Lynn Lockhart, age 71 of Minneapolis, passed away November 16.
Lynn received her undergraduate and doctoral degrees from the University of Texas, Austin. She had a long and fulfilling career with Abbott Northwestern Hospital as a healthcare psychologist, working with people with chronic illness, and as a clinical psychologist in private practice. Lynn was a strong and compassionate woman who was unafraid of hard work. She was passionate about promoting social justice and was an advocate of environmental stewardship. Her membership in Amnesty International was a point of pride. Lynn was a generous soul, doing what she could to give back to her community, from her dedication to her friends and her position on the resident Council at Augustana Care in Minneapolis, to her work as a mentor for physicians assistant students. Above all, Lynn found beauty and the foundation of her spirituality in music. She adored choral music and loved singing with the McPhail Center for Music with Jerry. Lynn will be missed by her significant other Jerry Semmler and many friends.
