Passed away peacefully after a courageous 2 year battle with breast cancer on February 4, 2018. Inspired by Wonder Woman and Rosie the Riveter "We Can Do It". Survived by husband, Paul; sons, Benton and Charles; mother, Darleen Cornelius; sister, Peggi (Gino) Monico; niece, Anna; father and mother
in law, Robert and Ardis Willcox; sister in law, DeeAnn Cady; brother in law, David Cady; and nephews in law, Erik and Ivan Cady and other family members and friends. Preceded in death by father, Charles Cornelius and sister, DeAnn. Char was loving, dedicated and fun. Char graduated from Montevideo High School where she was a 'Golden Girl' for the high school marching band danceline. She received her teaching degree from Moorhead State University. At MSU she was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority and is also where she met Paul. After graduating from MSU she taught special education in the Thief River Falls School District. Paul and Char were married on August 20th, 1983. In 1984 when Paul pursued his law degree they moved to the Twin Cities where Char continued teaching special education at Central Middle School in White Bear Lake. Char loved to spend time at her parent's lake cabin, shop for great deals, lunch with family and friends and time with the family dog, Rooney. Memorial service Friday, February 9th at 5:00 PM with visitation 4:00PM at CHRIST THE KING LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1660 Birch Lake Ave White Bear Lake. Memorials preferred to White Bear Lake Educational Foundation.
