Charlene Vizenor

Charlene (Neal) Vizenor left this earth peacefully on August 17, 2024. She is survived by children, Denise (Matt Eastwood), Chip (Leah); grandchildren, Jessica (Kendell) Proell, Peter “Alex” Flock (Marissa Gilbertson), Matthew Flock, Austin (Jorden) Vizenor, A.J. Vizenor; great-grandchildren, Cole, Rylee, Weylyn; daughter-in-law, Angie Vizenor; sister, Barbara Anderson; sister-in-law, Cheryl Neal; many close family on her late husband’s side and many other nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Irene Neal; husband, Gary Sr.; son, Gary Jr.; brother, Ron Neal; brother-in-law, Rodney Anderson; beloved pups Tito and Murray.

 Throughout her life, Charlene found joy in the simple pleasures - she was known for her generosity in feeding others. You never entered her kitchen without being offered something to eat. Everyone enjoyed her renowned beans and bars; if you know you know!! An animal lover at heart, she found delight in caring for creatures big and small, including the squirrels and chipmunks that frequented her yard. Always having a stash of peanuts ready to throw every day.

A music enthusiast, Charlene's spirit was lifted by the sound of feel-good music, loving bluegrass music, old country and her favorite, Vince Gill. If you ever needed to find grandma, you could find her at the many activities watching her grandchildren in sports, concerts, and plays. She took immense pride in supporting and attending all her grandchildren's activities, showing her unwavering love and dedication to her family. If she wasn't attending activities, you may have found her sitting on the little green porch at the corner of Greeley and Willard, watching the world go by and ready to whistle and invite you up for a chat as you walked by.

Memorial service will be 6:00pm Thursday, August 29, 2024 at BRADSHAW, 2800 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, with visitation beginning at 4:00pm. Family would love to see her be celebrated with colorful attire, possibly avoiding traditional black funeral attire. Memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society.
